Some Updated Pictures of the HOUSE

So I know that everyone is just dying to see more pictures of my house. Here they are but I have to say that a lot has been done since these pictures were taken. We are kind of behind on getting some updated pictures. On tuesday the carpet guy is coming. I am excited to see how the carpet will look. The fridge is getting put in on friday. Now we just need the plumbing finished (putting in toilets, getting the dishwasher to work, etc) , clean the house up, get sidewalk finished in front of our house and get the rest of our appliances in. That seems about it, oh yeah and put in the blinds.



This is the future kids bathroom, aka the guest bathroom. The tile on the side of the tub is a lovely addition george thought of from a dream he had. It looks really good and adds a little character to the room.



This the kitchen covered in plastic because the painters were working on painting the trim, baseboard and doors. There is a raised bar that is hard to see. I will try to get better pictures soon. The kitchen actually has the chandlier in it and we put a fan in there also. The living room has both of the fans in, but I dont have any pictures.


This is our master bath. The tile guys did an awesome job on the tile. On the shelves on each side of the tub we put granite down. This will make it so much easier to clean. It was a great idea. The cabinet doors are on now and the mirror is hung with the light fixture in. Again I will get more pictures. These pictures are just to wet your whistle. Below is another picture of the kids bathroom with the countertops and cabinets in. The faucets in both bathrooms we got from Costco. They look really good.

Wynonna Judd..........

Me and my younger sister Gentry went to Wynonna Judd in Mesquite this month. We had an awesome time together. She came down from Cedar and we went shopping and ate at Cafe Rio. Afterwards we drove down to Mesquite where Nanette gave us our tickets. Thanks Nanette for the free tickets! We enjoyed ourselves singing the songs and just sitting back and enjoying the show. The picture of wynonna is really blurry but I couldn't get a clear picture.

A little of this and a little of that

So I feel kind of bad that all I ever blog about is my house, but maybe one day I will have some different news. I am excited to say that our tile is pretty much complete, they just have to come back and seal it and then they are done. YIPEEE!!! Our cabinet guy still has some stuff to finished so hopefully he will get done quickly. And lets give a big yahoo for the countertops and back splash being complete. YAHOOOO!! George and his dad worked on getting lights put in today. They are almost finished. We just have the fans and chandliers to put up, but they won't be done until the painting is finished, which brings me to the painter. He should be here on tuesday to start painting the baseboards, doors, our room (there were some streaks in there), some painting outside and some touch ups where we have scratched the paint. He has been really flaky so it will be surprising if he keeps his word. After all that is complete the carpet guy will be coming and then we can finish the lighting and plumbing. We are actually thinking that we can close by the end of October, everyone keep your fingers crossed. I hope that you enjoyed the brief update of our lovely home. I will let you all know when or if we are having a house warming party.

A Little Update For All Those Interested

This is what the house looks like right now. We put a three foot skirt of cement around the house and as you can see from this picture the driveway is done. We stamped all of the cement and our putting a dark charcoal stain on it. George and his dad finished the last couple feet of rock today. I think that they did an awesome job.

Here is a picture of the west side of the house. A door to our garage is on this side of the house, but it is kind of hard to see.

This is a view of the back of the house. The porch is on the right, of course, and the big window is where our living room is and the window on the left goes to our master bath.

Here is a view of the east side of the house. The two windows on the side go into our master bedroom and the two front windows are guest/kids bedrooms. We are going to put flowers in the dirt patch underneath the window. That is as much of the landscaping that we have decided on so far. We are still thinking of ideas for the front, sides, and back of our house.

This is just a picture of the rock by our front door and some of the cement. The window on the left goes into a bedroom/office.

I didn't really plan how the cement was going to be shaped right here. Our cement guys kind of decided that, but I think it looks really good. I am happy with it.

And last but not least is a closer picture of our driveway and garage. We got a flat panel garage door and I love it. Now if we could just get the cabinet guy to finish then we could actually set a date to move in our house in about 2 weeks, but he has been a real pain. Everything has been held up for 2 weeks at least and it is getting very frustrating. Cross your fingers that he will get done this week. :)
