Lotoja is a cycling race from Logan, Utah to Jacksonhole, Wyoming. This year we (George, Lexie, Brian, Jeff and I) decided to surprise George's brother Steve and be his support crew at the race along with Jen (Steve's wife) and their son Corban.
Starting line
Getting all the stickers that we will need for the van. Jeff was our official driver that weekend and he did an awesome job.
We wore these angry birds hats so that when Steve was coming into the feed zones he could spot us easily.
Jen was showing us how to hand off the bag of food and drinks to Steve.
Jeff would go to the drop off zone where Steve would throw his empty bottles and if he had a flat Jeff would help him change his tires (luckily he never had to do that)
Enjoying the scenery
This was in Afton, Wyoming. I knew that my dad and brothers would enjoy this picture
After each feed zone Steve would put the new food and bottles on his bike and then throw the empty bag to George or Brian
A couple times during the race we would pass the cyclists. The other times we had to take a route around the race route. Steve is in the blue helmet
Finish line.. Steve finished in 9 hrs and 24 minutes. His fastest time ever. This was his fifth time doing Lotoja.
The Crew
After the race we stayed in this KOA cabin by the Snake River. It was really nice. It had a loft with a twin and queen mat. A room with a queen bed in it. Another room that had a queen mat and a twin mat. Then there was a couch, table and kitchen with a full bath.
We decided to head down by the river to chat, get some exercise and skip some rocks
| Corban was such a trooper and did really well on the trip |
Surprised he could jump like that after biking for 9.5 hrs. George isn't really in a lot of pictures because unfortunately it got super sick and basically laided down as much as he could, which really sucked cause he wasn't able to fully enjoy the trip with his brothers.
