Belly Bump

This is my ever growing belly at 17 weeks. I hope that you all enjoy the picture. I haven't felt any kicks yet but I am excited for when I can actually feel something. Maybe then I will feel more connected with our little girl.

It's a......

As of 16 weeks I am having a little GIRL. The ultrasound techs that scanned me two separate times strongly believe that our baby is a GIRL. I have a doctors appointment on Dec 22 which only puts me at 171/2 weeks, but hopefully he will be nice enough to confirm our baby's gender. George's mom already went and bought some clothes so we are keeping our fingers crossed. At the beginning of my pregnancy me and George have both had the feeling that we are having a GIRL. We are both pretty excited. I am still having bouts of nausea and heartburn. I hope that the nausea will go away soon. It is really annoying. The heartburn I expect will probably stay with me the whole pregnancy but I have a bottle of tums in my purse for those lovely occasions.

Now the Hadley Duo is a Trio!!

Now that the cat is finally out of the bag, I decided to get myself in gear and post about our exciting news on our blog. Yes I am Pregnant!!! Right now I am 4 months along. We have been trying since the middle of May. We took a pregnancy test on Sept. 25 , well actually I took the test early that morning and was so excited that it was positive that I ran out of the bathroom and into the kitchen looking for George, but he had already left for work. That put a little damper on my excitement. So I went to work without calling George because I wanted to share the news with him face to face. The work day ended and I got home before George and was sitting on the couch when he walked in the door. I had spent the entire day trying to figure out how I could tell him in a fun way. Well this is how I did it: I had taken a picture of the test on my cell phone. When George got home I started asking him what we should get our parents for Christmas because I wanted it to be something meaningful. George had no gift ideas. Well during our conversation I texted him the picture and when he opened the text I just sat there waiting for some type of response. I got too anxious to wait very long for him to figure it out, so I walked up to him and pointed at the picture and said, "I think we should get our parents that." It only took about 15 seconds after that for George to realize what he was looking at and he got a huge smile on his face and gave me a big hug. To celebrate we went out an ate.
One thing that our baby has going for him or her is the variety of what features he or she will have.... brown hair, blond hair, red hair, green eyes, blue eyes, brown eyes (runs in the family). The unavoidable trait will be some freckles and pale skin. Here are some pictures of me and George when we were about 1 year old. I can't even begin to guess what our baby will look like. Too many possibilities.....

Yards are a lot of work!

A lot of work has been done on our yard this last month. We put our sprinkler system in, had a block fence built, built a sandbox, and had a couple cement pads poured in our backyard. So here is a little preview of what we have done. This first picture is of our back yard facing east.
Another picture of our back yard facing west.
This of course is the fence on the right side of our house. A gate will be put up later. The sand box sits right behind this wall.
This big hunk of cement will have a gazebo on the back half. On the front half there will be a fire pit in the diamond shaped hole, so we can toast some mallows or just sit around a fire for fun.
This is a picture of our fence on the left side of our garage. There will be a big gate there later on this week and there will also be a small gate by our house but you can't see the opening from this picture.

This little cement pad was George's idea so that we could put our garbage cans outside and free up some space in our garage. I love the idea because I hate it when something in your garbage can smells and then the whole garage would stink.
This is the sand box that George built. The guy that built our block wall had some extra sand and said that we could have it, so we thought why not make a sand box while we have free sand. So here it is. I think that George did an awesome job and he had some help shoveling the sand in by my BIL Josh. Thanks for your help Josh!

Gardner's Village in West Jordan!

Here are some pictures of us at Gardner's Village. We ate at a restaurant there called Almund's or something like that. The food was really good, especially their pasta salad. However, we waited forever for our food. After that we walked and walked and walked around the place looking at a ton of different craft stores. It was also very crowded. I would like to go back when it's not so busy. I had an awesome time with my family.

Salt Lake Weekend!

The Cake. They put more flowers around it later but I forgot to take a picture. Brian and Lexie's wedding went well. I was the one controlling the music as people walked down the aisle. I was a little nervous. I didn't want to mess up, but I did an awesome job. They had to move the wedding inside because it rained all day, but the church was decorated with a lot of fresh flowers. It was very pretty.
A part of the ring ceremony.
My nephew Ethan ( Jeff and Katie's son)
Lexie showing off her cute pink shoes. They are hard to see from this picture.

The cutting of the cake. They did a pretty good job of smashing it in each others faces. It all happened so fast I didn't get very good pictures of it.
My In-laws, LaVar and Ann.
Some very handsome men in tuxedos. L to R- Brian, George and Adam
Jenn (Steve's wife), Steve (George's Brother), and Lori (George's Sister)
The Happy Couple.
A little pic of the exchanging of rings.
We went to the Ute game on Thursday night. Brian had gotten us free tickets from his work. We were basically at the top of the stadium. We had thought that they would have been better seats but in the end they offered a really good view of the whole field. It was quite a hike to get to them though.
This is the crowd rushing the field after an amazing last two minutes of play by the Ute's to pull out a Victory.

I thought that I would take a picture of the score so that I wouldn't be able to forget.

My BIL Jeff and his wife Katie
Brian and Adam (one of Brian's good friends)
A random picture I took during the game.
We had a great time at the game. I love watching games that have a close finish. A lot of people were actually leaving towards the end. I guess they didn't have enough faith in the Ute's to stick out the last 3 minutes.

The Final Results!!

Today George's results from taking his CT test came in the mail. He passed with flying colors. He got an 88%. Of course, he knew this right after he took his test because now most of the test give you a tenative score at the end. But then George started doubting whether or not he had actually seen 88% or if it had seen 68%. I tried to reassure him that he saw 88% and that he was so smart that, of course, he passed. George, however, was not convinced until he had the offical score in his hands.
I got home earlier than George today and checked the mail first. When I saw the big envelope I was very excited. So I decided to make him a nice dinner that included steaks, potatoes and a small salad to celebrate. I hung a little sign from our dinning room light and propped up his big white envelope underneath the sign so that he would see them both when he opened the door. If any of you look closely at the sign you might think that I am missing a key word and that the sign should say "I am so proud of you", but I typed it the other way on purpose. (its a little inside joke). So everyone who reads this please congratulate George for being scary smart.

Fun Weekend

From left to right: Jess, Uncle Shane, Brooklyn, Camille, and my mom. They were in the kitchen preparing some of the other delicious food we had on Sunday.
George and Josh cooking some awesome chicken and steaks for our sunday dinner.
Me and my Mom. I had another picture of us with my mom smiling but it is blurry.
My mom and Jess.
My dad playing with Kenny and Connor.

Last friday my mom, dad, my aunt Camille, my uncle Shane, Gentry and my cousin Brooklyn came to Hurricane to visit, well, and to watch my little brother Chase play in a football game on saturday. Delta played Goble which is a team from arizona. Delta beat them 31-12. It was fun to watch my little brother, who is a senior this year, play football. He weighs 220 and he is 6'0 at least. I can't believe it. I still remember him as a little kid who got new sandals that made him run faster and then he had to show us just how fast that was. He has always had freckles and blond hair with eyebrows that were also so blond that they are practically non-existent. Chase is so sweet and kind in nature. He would do anything for anyone. We always have to hug when we see each other. I still can't believe he will be graduating high school this year and then he will be going on a mission. It almost gets me crying. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of him that weekend because lame- oh- me forgot my camera and we only saw him saturday after his game for maybe 5 minutes before he had to get on the bus back to Delta. It was great to have my family visit for the weekend. I love that I have a house that people can stay at. George upgraded our guest room with the little white tv he got at the garage sale. He dropped some wires down our wall so that he could put cable and a plug in the closet where the tv sits on one of the shelves. Oh and on sunday I got a new calling to be the Sunbeam teacher in primary. I am excited and a little nervous. I will be teaching 3 year olds which hopefully won't be too bad. That is Kendry's age so I think that I can handle it. If not george can come in and help me. He is good with kids that age. Kendry is in love with him and has to play with him anytime they come over or if we go over to her house.

My Yard Sale Man!

George doesn't work on Mondays. He usually does odd jobs around the house that are on his "To Do List". Well last Monday he was riding his bike to a store to buy a new strap for one of his
pedals and on the way there he spots a yard sale where everything is free, so I guess it was more of a yard give away. How could he resist? Decision made George pedals home and drives our explorer back over to the yard sale and grabs quite a few treasures (george's word not mine). Later that night when I got home from work he decided to show me his treasures. He was very excited about what he had found and he was hoping that I would be just as excited. I am just going to list everything that he got and you be the judge if I should have been excited. Okay here is the list: a big tv, a small white tv, three sets of speakers, a big bag that you put on your car to carry luggage and things when you travel, 3 out of style vanity lights (1 gold and 2 silver), 2 pairs of white track lighting (missing a couple pieces), a box with tubes of tar for his brother Steve to use on his roof, a old cracked red jug ( that was the first thing to go), a stud finder, a screwdriver, a wire stripper, 2 metal shelf supporters, a sprinkler, a soaker hose, 2 calculators, thermal tin foil blanket, and to top it all of if you look closely at the pictures you will see a white eraser board that says yard sale on it. Yep, you guessed it George took that too. He wasn't quite sure if that was free but no one stopped him from taking it so we are now the proud owners. Man, I love my husband :) Unfortunately, by the time I found my camera and took pictures we had already thrown most of the stuff away.

Cali... Califor... California

We went to a 4-D seasame street movie at Sea World. It was actually pretty awesome. We all got to wear these sweet glasses. The characters in the movie felt like they were coming right at us, almost as if you could touch them. The seats would vibrate at certain points in the story. Drops of water hit us and even air was shot at us from the seats in front of us. During the show I think a lot of the little kids got scared because there was a lot of crying going on.
I had to add the picture of gen and chase because they were put together as a couple the whole weekend due to the fact that they were the only single people there. They had a good bonding time.

This is the crazy chicken at the game. He would run around stealing bases during the 7th inning stretch. He stole stuff from the vendors and threw it in the crowd. He danced on the 3rd baseline with a young woman for a little bit and then a big black lady came and cut in and then to top it all off a little old lady in her eighties walked up to him with her walker and started getting groovy. She even threw her walker to the side at one point and really got down. It was hilarious. He had a ninja/dancing fight with Barney (yes the big purple giant). In the end he won but barney had some sweet moves. The reason I got such a good picture is that he came by our seats and started dancing. He kissed a young female (who I think was drunk) with his beak and then he decided to drink someones beer and then spit it out. He was pretty funny.
I love the pictures that you take on your own. I still need to perfect a way to get my arm out of the picture better.
This a lovely group picture in front of Sea World. I think that we did everything possible at Sea World. My feet were dead by the end of the day.
This is the view from our seats at the baseball game. It was the Giants vs. the Padres. The Giants won in 11 innings. We had some loser sitting to the left of us that kept yelling at the left fielder. It go so annoying I almost said something, but realized that it would not have made a difference.
A huddle among the outfielders. Number 14 was the left fielder. He made a pretty awesome catch.
I found that I can do some different frames in my camera so here is a sample. I think that I only have like 4 frames. I think that this is a good picture of my sister Gentry. I love her smile.
