Our friends invited us to go to Zions last weekend. It is National Park Free Pass Week. The kids were very excited to ride on the bus and go hiking.
Avery, Kael, and McKindree
For the most part Avery did really well with wearing her hat and sunglasses. She loved riding by the window on the bus.

Our cute little family (
I guess Avery wasn't too excited about the picture)

Another Family Picture in front of this beautiful waterfall.

This was taken on the end of the trail when we are almost back to the beginning of the trail. She looked so tired that I totally thought that she would conk out in the bus, but she didn't even shut her eyes until we were driving back to Hurricane. Avery sure loves her daddy!

This picture has a funny story behind it. While Avery was stopped looking at a squirrel an older couple walked up and asked if they could take a picture of Avery because she was so cute. We said sure (they were a nice looking couple and we didn't get any creepy feelings about them). So for probably 5 minutes the couple talked with Avery and took some pictures. At one point Avery actually called the man, "Pappa", which is what she calls her Grandpas'. Well the couple moved on and we followed behind them about 5 minutes later. We thought that was the end of it. However, we caught up to the couple because they had stopped to take some pictures. Avery was holding both of our hands and we just walked right by them. Suddenly Avery lets go of our hands and runs back to the couple and starts talking/jabbering to them. Then she walks over to the man and takes his hand. It was so CUTE!! She ended up holding the man's hand all the way to the end of the trail. We never found out their name, but I did see on a tag attached to the man's camelback that they were from Sonoma, CA. They were so in love with Avery. It will be a story to remember for the rest of her life.

At the end of the trail people had stacked rocks all over the place. It was really cool to see.

This is the squirrel Avery was looking at when we met the couple.

Sometimes Avery would lag behind and George would carry her like an airplane or over his shoulder. Avery loved it.

Enjoying a moment with Dad.

Taking a rest. L to R: Dan, Haley, Mckindree, Kael, Avery, and George (Not pictured: Jason and Brittney)

Apparently there was something really interesting over the side of the bridge.

Kael really enjoyed his strawberry.

Dan and Avery enjoying the turkey on the side of the hill.

The Kids loved playing in the sand.

I love this picture. Avery is such a sweetheart. She was trying to sit on the board put couldn't fit .
