We decided to go to the Peach Days parade this year. We found a nice shady spot across from the high school. The parade was really long. I was surprised by how many floats they had. We were towards the end of the parade route and so there wasn't a whole lot of candy being thrown our way. Avery would keep asking how come they didn't throw candy at her. However, she got enough candy and really enjoyed the floats.
Tay just wanted to walk everywhere and had to be held during the parade so she didn't get trampled.
Grandma Hadley decided to join us for the parade. We are sure glad she came.
Avery loved the floats with the princess's. She had to wave back at them
Dancing to the music
This was Avery's favorite float. It had Ariel, Minnie Mouse, Tinker Bell and SpongeBob.
After the parade we headed over to the festivities. Avery got a Home Depot apron and made a heart shaped shelf with a wooden peg to hang her necklaces on.
Daddy was a big help
We went on some of the rides there. The picture above is Avery in a rocket ship and the picture below is of us in a big strawberry that you can make spin around and around. I made sure that we spun but not too much. I am not as young as I used to be and can't handle too much spinning.
She rode in the pumpkin barrel behind a tractor. She loved this ride.
LaVar joined us after the parade. It was super hot outside, but we made the best of it.
