Salt Lake Weekend

A couple weeks ago we drove up to Salt Lake to see our new niece Falon (born on 4-29-2012) and our new nephew Corban (5-17-2012).

Tay loves to wear sunglasses.  They don't last very long but she will actually put them on herself.

This is Avery's birthday present from Aunt Lori.  Avery also got a new scooter.  We had ordered it online and sent it to SLC, but then Tay got sick the weekend we were suppose to go to Salt Lake so the present has been at Aunt Lori's until we could drive up.

Avery is slowly getting better riding it, but I think it will be awhile until she gets really good.

It might help her if we got the hair out of her face

Uncle Steve and Aunt Jenn own chickens.  Avery had a fun time feeding them.

We were excited to meet Corban.  He was so tiny. It is amazing how quickly you forget how newborns are.

Tay loved the kid rocker at Jenn and Steve's.  She would rock back and forth as hard as she could.

I did pretty good at getting Falon to smile.

Here are the two cousins enjoying some blanket time together

They are both so adorable and I am excited that Tay and Avery have Hadley cousins close by to play with.  Now we need to have Jeff and Katie move back from Portland so we can see Ethan more often.

On Monday we ventured to the zoo.  It is fun to see these two brothers together as dads.

Avery thought the lion fountain was so funny, but she was not about to put her head in to get a drink

Avery is pretty close to the size of a kid gorilla

I, of course, am bigger then the adult male in height, but definitely not heavier.

My little birds.

Loving the lips

We went to the bird show at hogle zoo.  It was amazing how close the birds flew to the crowd.  George and Brian got hit in the head by one of the wings of this hawk

Avery made a donation and the cockatiel took it right from her hand

Tay got super tired and actually took a nap for an hour or so.

Cute little family

When we first walked by the carousel Avery did not want to go on it, but, of course, the second time we walked by she just had to go on it.  She even picked out the polar bear all by herself.

Brian and Falon waiting for us to get done with our ride.

Falon is such a cutie.  We can't wait to go back up and visit soon.
